Our Furry Kids.....

This is Ruby, our female boxer. Ruby was born in Dec 2007 and is about 70 lbs. She came to us from friends in Sevierville, TN at 10 weeks of age. Ruby looks tough, but she's really nothing more than a big baby. Ruby gets along well with her furry friends and has no bad habits other than digging holes, and she likes to chase our cats. They've learned to hide from her when she's in the house. Ruby is AKC and APRI registered, and I plan to breed her in late 2009 or early 2010.

This is Kobe, our only male sheltie. He is a blue merle, DOB 4/07, 15", 23lbs. Kobe came to us from Earl's Dog Patch in Kansas when he was 10 weeks old. Kobe loves to play and won't stop until he's made to stop. He sleeps on top of his dog house like Snoopy (Peanuts) and is very obedient. Kobe is AKC and APRI registered.

This is Gita, one of our two female shelties. Gita is a tricolor with a full thick coat, DOB 9/05, 13", 20lbs. We adopted Gita when she was less than a year old from her original owners in Harrisonburg, VA. She came to them from a breeder out of Richmond, VA. Gita is extremely loving and affectionate and loves tummy rubs and ear scratches. Gita is a great mom, and she is AKC and APRI registered.  We plan to breed Gita one final time in mid 2010, she will then be spayed and retired.

This is Buttercup, the other of our two female shelties. Buttercup is a bi-factored sable and white, DOB 5/07, 15.5", 23lbs. Buttercup came to us from Brioso Kennels in Kansas when she was seven months old. Buttercup is also extremely affectionate, but has a mischevious side to her. She steals shoes, so they always have to be put up out of her reach. She is also a very good watchdog. Buttercup is AKC and APRI registered, and had her first litter in March 2009, seven gorgeous fat healthy puppies.

This is Chelsea, the newest addition to our furry family.  Chelsea is a very petite tri-color female sheltie, 12.5" and 16 lbs, DOB 2/08.   Chelsea came to us from a NC family who could no longer keep her.  She has settled in very nicely with her new family, both human and furry.  Chelsea is AKC registered, and we plan to breed her to Kobe on her next heat in early 2010.  Check back for updates.

This is Sophie our female Pekingese, DOB 9/07, 12lbs, CKC registered.  Sophie is a sweet little gal that came to us from a local family that could no longer keep her. Sophie loves belly rubs and will do a little dance for her treats.   We hope to breed Sophie to our toy poodle Teddy in early 2010.  Check back for updates.

This is our tiny toy Poodle puppy, Teddy.  Teddy was born in January 09, and he is UKC and CKC registered.  He came to us from Mayowood Kennels in Rutherfordton, NC.  Teddy is now 10 months old and is weighing in at 6 lbs.  He is very easy going and loves to be held.   We are hoping to breed him with Sophie in early 2010.

This is Bingo, our almost-13 y/o sheltie-pom mix, we got him from a breeder out of Lexington, NC in 1997 when he was six weeks old. Bingo is my oldest daughter's dog, she's 17, and I got him for her when she was only 4. Bingo is little, but very feisty. He rules the roost around here and makes sure all the other dogs know it. Bingo is not one of our breeding dogs, so he's been nuetered and is not registered.

This is Bootsy, he is our tuxedo cat. Bootsy was thrown from a moving vehicle when he was about 8 weeks old. What I thought was some trash ended up being a fuzzy little half starved kitten covered in fleas. He has been with us ever since. Bootsy is very affectionate and his favorite activity is to stare out the bathroom window at the birds outside. Occasionally, Bootsy escapes out the front door, but he always comes back a few minutes later.

This is Tuesday, she is our long haired dilute calico. Someone dumped Tuesday on our street about 2 years ago on a Tuesday (hence the name). Like Bootsy, she was half starved, but has since made up for it. Tuesday is a very humble cat and makes a person work for her affection. She's not too crazy about anyone but me and Bingo.
