Gone But Not Forgotten
Pets that have passed away

 MY FOREVER PET

There's something missing in my home,

I feel it day and night,
I know it will take time and strength
before things feel quite right.
But just for now, I need to mourn,
My heart -- it needs to mend.
Though some may say, "It's just a pet,"
I know I've lost a friend.
You've brought such laughter to my home,
and richness to my days.
A constant friend through joy or loss
with gentle, loving ways.
Companion, friend, and confidante,
A friend I won't forget.
You'll live forever in my heart,
My sweet, forever pet.

-- Susanne Taylor

RIP Tuesday.  You were a great cat, so sweet, and never wanted anything but food, a head rub, and to drink out of the toilet or bathtub. Thank you to whomever threw her away in 2007. My life was made richer.

RIP Bootsy.  You were an awesome cat.    I'm forever grateful I was there at the park the day they threw you out the window and I found you.   I miss your purrs and your snuggles.  We miss you and love you and will never forget you.

RIP Gita aka "Mommy".  You were such a good girl and a wonderful mommy.   I miss your wagging tail and your foot baths.  We will always love you and always miss you.

This is Maverick, my first boxer. and my first dog. I got Maverick in Pensacola, FL in 1996 when he was 8 weeks old. He passed away in 2006, 3 weeks after Dreyfus passed away. Maverick was a very good dog, although he had become somewhat senile in his last year or two. Maverick is buried on a friend's farmland up in Virginia.

RIP Maverick 8-1-96 - 5-18-06

This is Dreyfus, a husky/newfie mix who we had to have put to sleep at 14 months of age due to severe hip dysplasia in both back legs. He was the biggest dumbest dog ever, but he was so loveable. Making the decision to have him put to sleep was one of the the hardest things I've ever had to do. Dreyfus was cremated and his ashes spread under his favorite tree

RIP Dreyfus 2-23-05 - 4-26-06
